Has anyone ever been to the 2000 Trees Festival? You might want to consider going this year. Just a suggestion.
2000 Trees is an excellent festival. Well run, nice vibe etc etc.
Home made cider to boot!

Home made cider? Well that's your daily serving of fruit right there.
Sadly no FOTL news yet. But at least Toronto is finally getting our snow! May go tobogganing today. Last time it tried to snow (in January), it was pitiful. The kid down the street tried to make a snow fort but only had enough snow to make the outline of the fort walls.

I was in Toronto in May a few years ago and there was still bits of snow around the place, which was odd cause it was pretty hot! Toronto Island was almost tropical!

I can confirm that the Badger's Bottom cider is epic. When I was there the organisers had to pop to the local farm that produces it on the Saturday to buy the rest of their stock as it had all been drunk in a day and a half. Great stuff, but lethal.

Badger's Bottom? haha with a name like that I suspect that it would be lethal! Moonshine more like.

Snow lingering in May is odd indeed! Toronto's got Lake Ontario so the whole lake effect makes it rare for snow to stay on the ground for very long. It's already a pond outside my door. No tobogganing, no snow fort. ![]()

The real news is that the unwinding hours featuring ex aereogramme members have unleashed their debut (lp) & its a work of art....go out & buy it or sit on yer khybers twiddling your over used fingers. album of the year.
Did you catch them on Vic's Session? They played 2 new songs and a John Parr cover. A friend recorded it for me since I generally have access problems (country & time difference). If you want the session, let me know.

I know! I'm salivating as I type.
Just think Corinne, they'll be back on our side of the pond by this summer, with new tuuuuunes - hip hip!

I will eventually get their album but not until after April. I have a photo shoot scheduled for 2 weeks in April so all my money's going into that right now.

Really???!
Wow, that's awesome news...
EDIT: Having thought about this, isn't that the day their second record was released?
Hmmmmm.... false alarm methinks.

Yup, "Travels..." was released June 22nd 2009.

False alarm guys. Thought it was strange, especially as they are taking an amount of time off, and I don't believe they now have a label?

Fuck a duck. They posted it February 25, 2010 so I thought it was recent news.
...there goes my wet dream. ![]()

Waaaaaait a minute. The last paragraph makes note of Travels as last year's album, so when they say the new album, they actually mean the new album. No?
"They have scorched their mark into the consciousness of North America and Europe (the band is from the UK) with the release of last year's brilliant album Travels With Myself And Another and a long series of searing live appearances that found Falkous channeling his inner black metal demon, vocally, and the music beating the audience over the head with volume and anger. When they come back around on the heels of the new album they are in the studio pounding out as you read this (due out June 22nd), you owe it to yourself to feel the full brunt of this powerful trio."
Arrrgh. @(*&^%$#@!*()$@!!! Goddamnit. This going to bug me all day and I won't get any work done.

"Catch them on their forthcoming tour" Not sure about this!!

This has to be bolloc*s, surely?
If they are playing in Glasgow next week I'll be miffed cos I'm being sent up there again the week after.
Lies for me. Lies and propaganda.
EDIT: Whoaa, I think it might be true. You can buy tickets and everything. Seems a bit weird but now I can officially be pissed off that work are sending me the week after.
Fucki*g work. Why can't I be in a rock band?

No it's not them. It's not even music related. It's a political forum of sorts.
http://www.ayewrite.com/Programme/Event … events.htm
But I still can't substantiate the puregrainaudio/skinny post. I don't want to ask them directly; if they are on break, they should enjoy their time off, and if they are in the studio, I won't be the one interrupting them. Guess I'll just have to sit on my hands and wait for a blog from Falco. Le sigh.

Wait a cocking minute. Has this been falsly advertised by someone thinking the band future of the left are playing when in fact it's a politics forum about 'the future of the left'. If so, HAHAHA!
Surely the band must intervene and stop fans being mislead?

That is actually the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I just checked and the ticket link has been removed.* But it's funny that someone called their political forum 'Future Of The Left' - would have been fantastic if the band showed up to debate in the issues.
*And on the ayewrite! ticketweb page, it now says "Please note that this event does not feature the band Future of the Left." hehe
